Oct 20, 2021 at 7:46 | comment | added | LPChip | @Tetsujin most obvious reason is that OP doesn't know how files work, has .mkv associated with a program that plays both .mkv and .ogg, such as VLC Media player, renamed to .ogg, double clicked it, and VLC media just ignored the fact that it is an ogg and opened it as .mkv as the header of the file suggests and "learned" that you can convert by renaming, which is obviously incorrect. | |
