Apr 26, 2021 at 19:16 | comment | added | Manuel Jiménez | You are completely rigth. I changed the port to 5432 and it worked. I am new to this forum. Should I post the answer or should you?
Apr 26, 2021 at 17:07 | comment | added | Daniel Vérité | The point is that this number should be the port where the postgresql service is listening on your DO server on the localhost interface. Based on the error message, it's the port number of some other service.
Apr 26, 2021 at 16:43 | comment | added | Manuel Jiménez | I was just using 1234 as an example as I understand (I might be wrong) that different ports could be configured (even if 5432 is the default).

-L 5555:127.0.0.1:1234 : why 1234? This must be the port number of Postgres on the remote. By default it's 5432.
