Hey thanks for replying, I was actually trying to downgrade my BIOS version cause right after update I'm having certain issues. But the setup which I have is not installing although I've downloaded it from HP site itself, I even tried installing from USB(outside windows). Does HP restrict downgrading the BIOS?– Chaitanya MCommented Oct 25, 2020 at 17:12

I don't know but it wouldn't make a lot of sense. In my bios I have a tab for updating the bios from usb. You should check there, else, you can find a guide here support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00042629 If this is your first time for a bios update, I would recommend writing these instructions down and/or have a second device at hand In case something goes wrong.– spykyvenatorCommented Oct 26, 2020 at 18:26

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. windows-7), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
