Aug 17, 2020 at 0:11 comment added JJrussel @Moab That option is missing. I know it's supposed to be the first one but on my computer safe mode is first. And you have to press F8 until you get to the Advanced menu.

Aug 16, 2020 at 21:00 comment added JJrussel @Moab You mean from the Windows installation disk? I don't have it unfortunately. However, from what I am reading, that will not fix the problem. Restore to a previous restore point fails.
