Look in the event logs. See if something is indicated as preventing the full shutdown. You should try a live disc and see if you can shut down the system from there.– AppleoddityCommented Dec 21, 2019 at 16:52

The partition style of your disk is it MBR or GPT? (can be found in Disk Management)– ShiftyCommented Dec 21, 2019 at 18:04

@Appleoddity Unfortunately, I haven't found anything related in the event log. And... what's a live disk, and what should I do with it?– FZsCommented Dec 21, 2019 at 20:51

@Shifty My disk is in GPT format.– FZsCommented Dec 21, 2019 at 20:51

I found this post on the Acer forum which states that it's a bug with the bios in combination with GPT: community.acer.com/en/discussion/352632/… This is for the 5560G but the normal 5560 might have this bug as well. It might be fixed in the latest version of the bios. You can also change to MBR but you have to boot in legacy mode when your boot disk is MBR partitioned. There aren't any real downsides to booting in legacy mode when your boot disk is below 2 TB as far as I know.– ShiftyCommented Dec 21, 2019 at 22:12

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. windows-7), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
