  • Does it happen also if you simply let the system sit in the BIOS setup without doing anything? (You could even unplug the mouse and keyboard to be certain nothing does anything...)

  • Interesting I'll try that now with everything unplugged. What would you draw from that if it does or does not reboot?

    If it still reboots from within the BIOS setup, that means you can focus solely on the motherboard and components directly attached to the motherboard. At that point, unplug whatever isn't absolutely required for the computer to run at all and try the same thing again.
