Xbox One's April update brings fixes to party chat and achievement apps

This month's Xbox One system update will include improvements to the console's party chat and achievement apps to start with, according to Major Nelson, but there will be another string of fixes incoming.

The update will be releasing to preview program members in two waves, the second of which will be detailed next week.

The first half of this update will see the addition of a troubleshooter for party chat, allowing users to check if their microphone is enabled and to show when privacy setings or network problems are blocking chat.

Also incoming is a minor change to achievement notifications, which will now include the award's description text. Notification speed for achievements has also been improved, which means they'll stay on your screen for less time. Finally, you can also expect to find a link to game hubs from the game's page in the achievements app.

This new update will be made available to the public at the start of the month.
