The Mozilla Foundation is a nonprofit public benefit organization. Our mission is to ensure that the Internet is a global public resource, open and accessible to all. Join us and become part of our mission to promote openness, innovation, and opportunity online!

Twenty years ago, this meant building a browser and protecting the open web. Today, it also includes making sure AI and data driven technology is more trustworthy. In order to focus on places where Mozilla can impact the next era of our work, we are increasingly focusing on trustworthy AI. For us, this means especially two things: human agency is a core part of how AI is built and coordinated, and corporate accountability is real and implemented.

As AI becomes a significant part of the future of the internet, both Mozilla’s legacy and Manifesto make it an imperative that we contribute to shaping this evolution. Led by Mozilla’s President, Mozilla AI efforts are creating an emerging body of work that pushes the envelope in product, policy, philanthropy and more. The AI Policy portfolio is a growing team of experts from across our organisation working to embed openness, fair competition, trust and transparency into global political and regulatory debates.

As Senior Manager, AI Policy you’ll be instrumental in translating AI policy and technology issues related to Mozilla’s Manifesto into action. Reporting to Mozilla’s President, and with accountability to Mozilla’s VP for Global Policy, you will drive our UK AI work, building compelling campaigns and engaging the community.

You are proactive and outgoing, with experience in consistent on-the-ground political relationship building including across different countries and political bodies. You have a background in consultancy management, event organisation, and coalition building underscored by strong digital and AI policy experience.

You own the opportunity to build and grow our work in the UK. You lead the portfolio with a high degree of independence by driving research, organising high level meetings for executive stakeholders, and identifying regional opportunities to participate in and lead events.  You are the eyes and ears of the Policy Team on the ground in the UK, plugging key opportunities back into the organisation.
