Campground FAQs
Is the campground open year round?
Yes! The campground is open year round. However, the summer season is very busy and we recommend making reservations in advance.
How far in advance can I make a reservation?
Reservations can be made a year in advance of the day of your arrival.
Do you provide shuttles to the park for campground guests?
Yes! Based on host availability, we are able to shuttle campers during the summer season from the campground store to the Visitor Information Center from the hours of 9 am to 5 pm daily.
Do you allow dogs?
The campground is pet-friendly. We do ask that all dogs remain on leashes and that you do your duty after your pet does theirs. A dog park is located at the campground and is available for use to Kentucky Horse Park campground guests, horse show competitors, and park guests.
How do I make a reservation?
Reservations may be made on ReserveAmerica.com. If you do not have Internet access, you may place a reservation by calling Reserve America at (888) 4KY-PARK or (888) 459-7275. Groups of 20 or more, please call (859) 259-4257 or (800) 370-6416. Maximum stay is 14 days unless approved by Campground management. Check in time is 2:00 p.m. Check out time is 12:00 noon. All guests are required to check in at the Campground store upon arrival before going to their site.

The Rood & Riddle Kentucky Grand Prix, a challenging show jumping competition between top international horses and riders, is the featured evening entertainment of Hats Off Day and is taking place in the beautiful outdoor Rolex Stadium at 6:00pm. We`ll post the full schedule of events later this week!

🎉 Only one week until the Hats Off to Kentucky`s Horse Industry Day! 🎉 In celebration of the horse, join us at the Kentucky Horse Park on Saturday, July 27th for a FREE day of family fun and an opportunity to learn more about horses and the amazing things they do for our great state!

☀️🐴 Today we remember our dear friend, Mr. Gene Carter, on what would have been his 98th birthday. His daughters, Vivian, Tina, and Gwen, came by the park to visit. Gene`s spirit and love for the horse lives on at the Kentucky Horse Park and in all of us that had the honor to meet him! Gene was known for telling his story of being the last man living to sit on the back of one of the greatest racehorses ever – Man o’ War. 🛠️ Due to the construction, all strollers and wagons will need to be parked outside the entrance to allow more room for guests inside the museum. You can find the entrance to the Museum on the right side of the building at the Al-Marah Arabian Horse Galleries.
✨ The Museum will be open for BreyerFest attendees from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Come explore and enjoy the rich history and beauty of the horse world!
