Camping Information

Campground FAQs

Is the campground open year round?

Yes! The campground is open year round. However, the summer season is very busy and we recommend making reservations in advance.

Reservations can be made a year in advance of the day of your arrival.

Do you provide shuttles to the park for campground guests?

Yes! Based on host availability, we are able to shuttle campers during the summer season from the campground store to the Visitor Information Center from the hours of 9 am to 5 pm daily.

Do you allow dogs?

The campground is pet-friendly. We do ask that all dogs remain on leashes and that you do your duty after your pet does theirs. A dog park is located at the campground and is available for use to Kentucky Horse Park campground guests, horse show competitors, and park guests.

☀️🐴 Today we remember our dear friend, Mr. Gene Carter, on what would have been his 98th birthday. His daughters, Vivian, Tina, and Gwen, came by the park to visit. Gene's spirit and love for the horse lives on at the Kentucky Horse Park and in all of us that had the honor to meet him! Gene was known for telling his story of being the last man living to sit on the back of one of the greatest racehorses ever – Man o’ War.
