Iranians elect reformist candidate Masoud Pezeshkian as president

Iran’s interior ministry has declared reformist candidate Masoud Pezeshkian winner of the country’s presidential election. He defeated conservative Saeed Jalili by nearly three million votes with turnout at just under 50 percent.
