London might be the home of the professional and business elite but the UK election result is expected to effectively shut the Tories out of the English capital.

Londoner Mat Morrison admits he traded the “devil I know, for the devil I don’t know” in Thursday’s United Kingdom election when he voted Labour for the first time.
Like many Conservative voters, Morrison decided to switch sides and become part of the “red tide” which effectively wiped out the Tories in London.
