'Indian Police Force' actor Shweta Tiwari opens up about her failed marriages with Raja Chaudhary and Abhinav Kohli: 'When you get cheated...'

Shweta Tiwari, who was seen in Rohit Shetty's 'Indian Police Force', recently opened up about her past relationships, revealing instances of infidelity. The actress was previously married to Bhojpuri actor Raja Chaudhary, with whom she divorced in 2007. Later, she married Abhinav Kohli, but the marriage ended in separation in 2019.
In a recent interview, Shweta candidly discussed the reasons that initially prevented her from filing for divorce from her first husband, Raja, despite enduring domestic violence.Shweta, who has a daughter named Palak Tiwari from her first marriage, reflected on her past experiences.

Speaking with Galatta India, Shweta expressed how experiencing betrayal multiple times has changed her outlook. Initially deeply affected by the first instance, she tried everything to mend it. By the second betrayal, she realized the pain would persist, and with the third, it ceased to affect her. Now, when faced with betrayal, she simply detaches herself, accepting it as part of the other person's nature while protecting herself from hurt.

She added that she no longer gives others the power to affect her. She mentioned that those who she has chosen to distance herself from have eventually realized her absence and regretted their actions.

When asked about the delay in leaving her abusive relationship, Shweta explained that her decision was influenced by several factors. She mentioned that in her family, love marriages were uncommon, and she had entered into an inter-caste marriage, which faced societal criticism. Concerns about her daughter growing up without a father also weighed heavily on her mind. Despite being financially independent, the emotional aspects of her situation were significant. Over time, she realized that true familial happiness requires mental well-being, and staying in a dysfunctional relationship was not conducive to a healthy upbringing for her child. She concluded that sometimes, parting ways is necessary when two people cannot coexist harmoniously.
