Oct 15, 2020 at 16:25 comment added Mike 'Pomax' Kamermans This throws an error for me going Add-AppxPackage : Cannot find path 'C:\AppXManifest.xml' because it does not exist. Apparently build 2004 requires a different instruction: Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers Microsoft.549981C3F5F10 | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Mar 16, 2019 at 13:44 comment added Dennis Soemers My issue was that pressing Windows key and then starting to type application names to search for them would just result in a large completely black rectangle and no search results. This answer fixed the problem for me.

Oct 20, 2015 at 11:25 comment added Radek Pech It may seem absurd, but this helps even when Cortana is NOT supported in your language or country. Just give it a try.
Oct 14, 2015 at 17:16 comment added DannyT Same here, behaviour was different from OP because mine would find default apps but not ones I'd installed (like Word, Excel etc) and which I could find in the All Apps list. This fixed it for me, thanks!
