ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan rowing team announced on Friday (June 28) the commitment of 18 student-athletes to the program as part of the Class of 2024.

The class includes 13 student-athletes who will be first-year rowers: Ella Andre, Stephanie Barrett, Isobel Block, Claire Boomstra, Izzy Boyer, Talia Daft, Kiera Danitz, Ava Fox, Stella Fox, Adrianna Getzloff, Addison Jennings, Kiera Luckie, and Ava Mardis.

Additionally, five athletes with rowing experience are expected to join the roster: Catherine Alcantara, Alex Burke, Lucie Belknap, Nicole Granovsky, and Alex Morales.

This group will join the six signees U-M announced earlier this year to form the Class of 2024, joining the program this fall as first-year students.

"This is an excellent class joining our program next fall as Michigan student-athletes," said head coach Mark Rothstein.

"Each of them fits with what the University of Michigan Rowing program is all about, and I want to make sure they all feel welcomed to our program. Our staff deserves so much credit for maintaining a high standard to recognize and bring the highest-caliber student-athletes and competitors to Michigan Rowing. We cannot wait to see all that the Class of 2024 achieves in the Ann Arbor community, in the classroom, and on the water."

"We remain focused on our program goals," said Rothstein, "Building Big Ten- and NCAA Championship-caliber teams with championship-caliber student-athletes. We believe this group helps us continue that tradition and we are glad they chose to be Wolverines."
