Feb 16, 2021 at 21:31 comment added j.c. There's something strange about the second matrix (right after "produces:"); it seems to render properly as a matrix on this page, but on the revision permalink math.meta.stackexchange.com/revisions/5023/7 it shows up as raw LaTeX in a code block.

Change "arrays above" to "arrays below" since this answer has become more popular
Aug 28, 2014 at 5:15 comment added Michael Hardy This says "End each matrix row with \\". But there is no reason to end the LAST row of the matrix that way. The double backslash means: now go on to the next row. But there isn't any next row after the last one.
