Android is trickier because that ecosystem is a lot less unified than iOS, but that doesn't mean finding your own number on Android is difficult by any means. Here's how it works:

  1. Open the Settings app

  2. Scroll down until you see "About Phone." This could also be listed as "About Device" in some Android handsets, so use the search bar at the top if need be

  3. Your phone number will be shown next to "Phone number"

In short, it's all about knowing where to look in the Settings app on either device. Just make sure to write it down for next time.
