bug-gnu-emacs -- Bug reports for GNU Emacs, the Swiss army knife of text editors

About bug-gnu-emacs

This list is for bug reports, feature requests, and suggestions for improving GNU Emacs.

Please try to read the section "Reporting Bugs" in the Emacs manual before making a report.

This list is connected (note that the connection can be unreliable) to the gnu.emacs.bug newsgroup, but please report bugs by mail, not news.
Treat the newsgroup as a read-only mirror.

If you can, it is best to use the M-x report-emacs-bug command from Emacs.

Sending a mail to this list that is not a reply to an existing topic automatically opens a new bug report at the Emacs bug tracker.
