Observations of a Straight White Male with No Interesting Fetishes Kindle Edition

Ever wondered how to justify your own righteousness even while you're constantly embarrassed by it? Or how to make a case for your own existence when you contribute nothing besides nominal labor to a faceless corporation that's probably exploiting children? Are you clinging desperately to an arbitrary social model imposed by your parents and childhood friends? Or screaming in terror, your mind unhinged at the prospect of an uncaring void racing to consume the very possibility of your life having meaning?

So are most people!

SEE how to fail to impress a date who wasn't even waiting to be impressed.
LEARN how to navigate the fetish scene when it's obvious to everyone you don't belong in it.
CRINGE at the narcissism of privilege.
BLINK at the justifications of listless ego making excuses for itself.

A tell-all, guide-by-terrible-example manual for navigating modern relationships, from the perspective of a brain just as consumed by neurosis and paranoia as everyone else's!

Great book! Couldn't put it down once I started reading it.

New stuff is really good, and I enjoyed reading the essays from stilldrinking.org in a real book.

For the readers of the author's blog new essays will shine new light on some things that are left hanging in the older essays.

Humor is really good (as expected), but there is some more serious stuff in the book.

''Formative Moments'' is fantastically written.

Five stars, and I am looking forward to whatever the author publishes next. :)

Great writing style. I am a fan of excellent mind dumps. The stories are short enough to pick up, read one or two, put down, then get back to whatever mundane task your were wasting your life on.

Would read again.

This dude is insane, but in his depravity is actually one of most reasonable people I've ever read stories from. Highly entertaining, especially if you work tech, or have experimented with certain things in your life/had a tumultuous upbringing!

After reading some choice pieces on the author's blog, I decided to get his book. It articulates thoughts and worries that I couldn't get a firm grip on myself, and shows the grass ain't greener for people who have casual sex frequently. Would buy again.

Another great book by Peter Welch. And a nice followup to 'Then I thought I was A Fish.'
