Cleaning up space

Our Founder and CEO, Nobu Okada makes an appearance in the Financial Times. “It is only in space where there is a throwaway culture,” he says. “Space debris is troublesome because space — unlike air, land and sea — has no borders and therefore no rules to govern the countries operating in it.” 🛰️

For the first time we had a totem stand within the UK Space Agency Pavillion as an industry partner together with UKspace members and the European Space Agency (ESA). We met with many visitors to talk about on-orbit servicing, including Kwasi Kwarteng (Secretary of State for BEIS), Rebecca Evernden (Director of Space for BEIS), Paul Bate (CEO, UK Space Agency), suppliers and potential partners...not forgetting a very busy fun Friday with families, students and young professionals.
Our Founder & CEO, Nobu Okada gave a keynote speech at SPACETIDE, held in July in Tokyo, where he talked about on-orbit servicing to address space debris issue and Astroscale’s technology.
During the recent Space Sustainability Summit in London Morgane Lecas, Business Analyst, was interviewed by the UK Space Agency. Morgane highlighted Astroscale’s efforts to lead debris removal services and the importance of cooperation to make it work.
