The Cordis is a wonderful hotel, the rooms are lovely and spacious and the beds are super comfortable. The staff are so helpful and kind too. Breakfast is highly recommended, food lovely and service excellent. And the Chandelier Lounge is such a lovely spot to sit and relax with a quiet drink so maybe some lovely food - we did both. We will 100% be back to stay. Also a huge advantage is having the hotel shuttle that will take you down to Commercial Bay - runs on the hour

Called the 'City of Sails' due to the large number of yachts anchored in Waitemata Harbour, Auckland is the largest city of both New Zealand and Polynesia. Built on the Auckland Volcanic Field featuring about 48 extinct volcanoes, this city truly offers a blast!
Auckland is a real cultural mix with strong Asian, European, Maori and Polynesian influences, celebrated in frequent festivals and sporting events. Some examples of these cultures can be seen at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, one of the best in New Zealand. For more, try the upmarket dining of the Viaduct Harbour.
Another must-see is the tallest free-standing tower in the Southern Hemisphere, the Sky Tower. If you’re feeling up to the challenge, you can even perform the Sky Jump, a controlled base jump from 192 metres!

Auckland has many things to do and see. Great to visit but the
Traffic is horrendous , public transport is imposable to understand unless you are local. I go to Auckland 6 or more times a year to shows and events. Always stay at the closest hotel with on site parking to where I want to go and walk. Downtown shopping is chaos so being dug up , hopefully the new city rail and the rejuvenation of the city. when finished
will make world class again.

I absolutely love Auckland and always look forward to traveling there. The city is not only bustling with a wide variety of shops, but it also offers a rich array of activities and events at any time. From multi-cultural festivals to diverse dining options, there's always something exciting happening in Auckland.
One of the standout features of Auckland is its welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. The people are generally more accepting, making it a lovely and well-rounded city. Compared to some other cities around New Zealand, Auckland truly shines as a vibrant hub of culture, diversity, and opportunity. Whether you're exploring the city's neighborhoods, attending cultural events, or simply enjoying the urban landscape, Auckland offers an experience that's hard to match.

Auckland is like any big city with 1 million people.
Auckland is like any big city with 1 million people. Busy, yet exciting and a great change for those who are used to the quiet rural life. Consider Auckland as that little get away to see what is happening in one of NZ biggest centres. Great to attend shows and games etc. Food options are great as well.

Auckland is a great city!
Auckland is a great city! Except if you get stuck in traffic-It’s absolutely terrible. Peek hour is any where from 3pm on a school day to about 6.30ish.
If they had the traffic congestion sorted out it would be great
Situated in Auckland CBD next to Sky Tower this hotel is as central as it gets. Transport from/to airport is easy with Uber. I reccon the hotel was built in the eighties and got a charm from that period. By that time this 14 story building must have been one of the highest in the neighborhood. The full English breakfast is well done. The rooms are tidy and well looked after. They leave messages if they cant tidy for instance the bed of some reason. Good!
Good location and value for money. I often stay here when I travel up to Auckland as it's far enough out of the city center that it's not so busy but only a 5 minute taxi ride in. Fairly close to the airport amd plenty of shopping around.
The beds are super comfy in the rooms that aren't dorms. There is also parking available which isn't something many offer in Auckland.
Quick & seamless check-in process. Hotel is within walking distance to Auckland airport, so very convenient for an overnight stay or before leaving the country. Value for money with lots of parking and a big comfy bed.
This is a good location providing airport transport for when you have to stay overnight in Auckland. A good tidy budget transit hotel. There were rooms with King size beds which was nice to have this option.
I stayed at your hotel because I was flying out to Melbourne early the next morning. It was convenient to stay here because it was close to my parking if you Auckland airport.
