We were there for family medical reasons. We are not city people. We got to enjoy some shopping and a few activities. Would love to do more as there is a lot going on in the summer. If you are comfortable navigating the streets there are alway opportunities

Winnipeg has many things to see and you need at least a week to see them all. I felt very safe but of course be careful at night. Just like any big city, one need to be careful of the neighborhoods at night. The shopping is great also. A visit to the Forks is a must! They have great shops and food at the market. My first time there I rented but the second time I used an uber. Have fun!

While Winnipeg is often-described as a boring city, I really enjoyed my time there. You will find many independently-owned restaurants, clean streets, and there is quite a lot to do (depending on your interests, of course). It's not a crowded city at all, and I was impressed by the overall cleanliness of the environment. There are almost no skyscrapers, which means you can really see the sky and enjoy the sunshine. The traffic jams are also not nearly as severe as what you would otherwise find in a large metropolis. Overall, it's a pretty laidback, family-friendly environment.

I used to liv there, love the Forks Market, rivers, waterbus, Osborne Village, Bridge DriveIn (icecream - was there in 70s!) Great restaurants, Exchange District Parks & Zoo. Dont miss the Fort Garry Hotel
Some questionable areas - make sure you check with locals about safety
Location is great. Around 10 minutes walk from The Forks Market and CMHR. We walked everywhere although we didn't feel very safe overall in Winnipeg's downtown, not a lot of foot traffic and a lot of homeless people, which is quite sad to watch in all Canadian cities nowadays, but that has nothing to do with the hotel, just a word of caution. Beds are quite comfy, rooms are big.
So much more than expected. Sheriff was so friendly and accommodating. The location wasn’t the best. Kinda far from downtown but the place made up for it. Great bed in a private room with a living room attached. Awesome couch and tv setup. Clean, roomy and welcoming!! Definitely a place worth staying!!
I appreciated the hotel's modern aesthetic. The hotel location was very convenient for my reason to visit Winnipeg on this particular occasion. The bed was very comfortable. The cleanliness was exceptional.
Lovely and cozy as described! If you are someone who doesn’t mind walking, downtown is close by. Bus accessibility was great. I would definitely would come back here, if I happen to come to Winnipeg again.
