In general, inside the Whistler village is so overrated!
In general, inside the Whistler village is so overrated! Almost all restaurants charge exorbitant prices for very low quality dishes, I would strongly advise anyone going here to research the ratings of any place they are going to eat in before going there! Even the grocery store here charge ridiculous prices for their most basic amenities. Whistler village is an over commercialised village that has little to no character…

It was my first time visiting Canada in the summer, it really refreshed my image of Canada since it directed me to the snow mountains everytime I think about Canada...lol.
I did many water activities and it makes me love the summer of Canada too! The Backcountry Golden River Kayaking is highly recommended and I will definitely do it again next summer...

Whistler Village is very much a town for skiers and mountain...
Whistler Village is very much a town for skiers and mountain bikers, with the entire planned layout catering to a high-end clientele. There are more affordable food and hotel options as well, though I’m pretty sure those would be booked quickly in skiing season. Tough to find food open after 9:30pm other than bar food, but that’s OK for most people.
The rest of the town is a backpacker, hiker, nature-lover’s destination, with mountains and trails nearby.

Whistler has something special for everybody!
Whistler has something special for everybody! My husband and I adore hiking and exploring and Whistler has an abundance of beautiful surrounding lakes, waterfalls, trails, and scenic vistas on the mountain tops of Blackcomb and Whistler mountains. We spent 5 days, which was perfect for exploring nearby Brandywine Falls and surrounding hiking trails, Rainbow Falls and the scenic loop around 21 Mile Creek, and powerful Nairn Falls and the Green River, and Ancient Cedars Trail among the 1,000 year old trees that are majestic. We also kayaked the River of Golden Dreams, took a guided tour with Paddy on Whistler E-Bikes, and photographed beautiful black bears in Olympic Village on the Whistler Photo Safari with Ollie. Whether we were on a guided tour or on our own, we had an amazing experience in the breath-taking beauty of Whistler! The locals are friendly and have great stories to tell, the food is delicious, and there is a "fully alive and engaged" vibe in the cheerfulness of the young men and women from all over the world who choose to come to work in Whistler! You will be thrilled by the experience!!
Nita Lake Lodge is by far the best hotel we have stayed at. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The lakeside location is fantastic - right on the Valley Trail as well! Really convenient location to get to Whistler Village without being directly in the village. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The ability to rent bikes / kayaks / canoes from the hotel for free is great - the system for renting these out is really smooth.
The best value for money I have ever seen! The room was large with a fully functional kitchen, everything was spotless and clean, and it had a very nice homely, comfortable vibe! We had absolutely everything we needed without ever needing to ask. Not to mention the beautiful location, so close to creekside village, and just a shirt taxi drive from whistler village. The hotel was one of our favourite parts about our stay :)
Rij the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, when we arrived she received us with a smile and a warm welcome, we took the shuttle from Vancouver to Whistler and the hotel is next to the bus station. All shops and restaurants are near the Village within walking distance, we really want to come back! It's like Santa village
Lovely hotel in a great location right on edge of village. Spacious clean comfortable room. Secure underground parking (for small to medium sized vehicles - cheaper public car park also available nearby). I don't mind paying extra for this secure parking provided it is reasonable, which this is.
Hotel has a nice and convenient location, room was clean and nice even though very simple. At the kitchen nook you will have all the utilities and appliances for a meal prep. Definitely good choice for overpriced Whistler.
