A Symbol of Canadian Pride
On the south bank of the Ottawa River, the Canadian capital Ottawa is a grand symbol of what the country stands for: bilingualism, civic pride and wonderful vistas.
Facing Langevin Block (the prime minister’s office) is the city’s most famous landmark - the Centre Block parliament building. Other important national buildings include the Royal Canadian Mint, Supreme Court, and Rideau Hall, the Queen’s official residence when in the country.
The business district and Ottawa Convention Centre are in Downtown, and nearby shopping options include Rideau Mall and ByWard Market - the oldest farmers’ market in Canada and the area with the best nightlife.

Ottawa River Cruise was lovely and we had a great tour guide. The War Heritage Museum is a must see, we were there over 5 hours and could have stayed longer, very informative and amazing displays. La Favorita in Little Italy is a must for dinner! Delicious!!

We have been to Ottawa numerous times. My daughter lives there and always too short of a visit. We enjoyed surrounding towns this visit, Perth, Carlton Place and Almonte. Always something to do in Ottawa and surrounding areas.

Ottawa has good architecture to look for like parliament building etc. Its a capital and hence got its own charm. We came in for tulip festival and liked it. It has tours to go around the city via road and water. We preferred the amphibious bus. We ate at nearby restaurants of our hotel. We searched in Google for ratings. We need to make sure weather is good otherwise it will be difficult to see things in Ottawa.

Great place to visit.
Great place to visit. Holds a lot about the history of Canada. A must visit place. You should Have a ride on Lady dive bus. the AMPHI bus as they called. You go both on land and water on the same bus. Parliament Hills covering massive area in downtown Ottawa. It is easy to get around by bus or taxi or urba or private driving.
