Second Round Play Stopped Due to Darkness at NCAA Championship

(NICHOLASVILLE, Ky.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team competed in the second round of the 2024 NCAA Division III Championship on Wednesday in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Multiple stoppages because of inclement weather forced play to be stopped due to darkness on Wednesday. The Tartans had completed holes 10 through 12 when play was halted and their current round score in round two was nine-over par. The Tartans have an overall score of +19 and are currently in second. Emory University leads the field with a +16 and was also stopped on the same holes played as the Tartans.

  • Freshman Samantha Wang has completed 10 holes and has shot even par. Wang is currently at +4 for the championship and tied for 10th individually.
  • Freshman Nikita Jadhav has completed 12 holes and has shot +5. Jadhav is currently at +6 for the championship.
  • Junior Sriya Mupparaju has completed 12 holes and has shot +1. Mupparaju is currently at +7 for the championship.
  • Junior Kaylin Yeoh has completed 11 holes and has shot +7. Yeoh is currently at +13 for the championship.

  • The conclusion of round two will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday followed by the start of the third-round play. After play in of the second, the field will be cut to 15 teams and the top six individuals not on one of those teams to compete in the final two rounds.
