WGCA Honors Players; Four Tartans Named All-America

(NICHOLASVILLE, Ky.) – For the fifth straight season, multiple members of the Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team earned All-America honors from the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) with another earning regional recognition.

Graduate student Alexis Sudjianto, junior Sriya Mupparaju and freshman Samantha Wang were named to the All-American first team while junior Kaylin Yeoh joined the trio on the honorable mention team. Freshman Nikita Jadhav complemented her teammates as a regional honoree. Head coach Dan Rodgers was named the Division III Golf Pride Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year. It was the fifth straight honor for Rodgers.

The five have Tartans along with the direction of Rodgers and Li helped the top-ranked Tartans to their fourth straight and fifth appearance in program history to the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships. The Cardinal and Gray also have won six events this season, tying the school record for most tournament victories in a season with the 2014-15 team.

Heading into play at the NCAAs, Sudjianto leads the Tartans with a scoring average of 73.4 through 15.5 rounds. She claimed her second collegiate individual medalist honor this season at the Capitol Hill Classic. Sudjianto carded a season-low round of two-under par 70 during the final round of the NCAA Preview. In all, she has four top-three performances this season and eight for her career, tying her for third most for a career in program history.
Mupparaju finished the second on the team in scoring average with a 73.9 in 15.5 rounds of play. She posted a season-low round of three-under par 69 at the Deb Jackson Invitational.

Wang competed in 14.5 rounds for the Tartans this season and has a scoring average of 74.1. She recorded a season-low round of four-under par 68 at the Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate where she earned individual medalist honors in her first collegiate event. Wang also set the school record for lowest individual 36-hole total in the program's history at the event carding a six-under par 138. She also claimed individual medalist at the Savannah Invitational.

Yeoh currently has a scoring average 75.1 through 13.5 rounds. She recorded her season-low round of even par 72 at the Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational.

Jadhav has a scoring average of 76.4 through 15.5 rounds for the Cardinal and Gray. Her season-low round came at the Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational as well and was a one-under par 71.
