(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Fourteen Carnegie Mellon University student-athletes from the cross country, track and field, and golf teams were named to a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division III, nominated by members of CSC. College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) rebranded to CSC in the summer of 2022.

The Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Players honored were selected by their school's Athletics Communications professionals. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete from the cross country or track and field team must have had a top 50 performance in the TFRRS performance rankings or Top 50 finish at the regional meet and carry at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and have achieved at least sophomore academic and athletic standing. For golf, student-athletes must be in the lineup for 70% of the total events played by the team that included team scores.

Academic All‐District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All‐America ballot. First‐, second‐ and third-team Academic All‐America honorees will be announced later this month, following a vote by CSC's membership, which is comprised of more than 3,000 sports information and athletic communication professionals throughout the United States and Canada.
