So, I got modded. I get it.

But, the mod edits it with a "fucking really dude" as the comment?

I wasn't expecting rage-modding, but that's how it comes across.

Which is why someone else edited/modded the post again a minute later.

Oh well.

It's just a reminder of why I barely post here anymore.

EDIT:

I just realized, that probably because of the scriptblocker, I didn't see if it autoloaded the youtube. If that's the case, does it mean that if it was spoilered it would still have triggered a mod/edit/point?

EDIT2:

And there is no video beyond the stylized LP image? And a still image of the alleged singer's face? That this is an AI voice/song rather than explicit video in the sense of porn/etc.

EDIT3:

Does my asking questions mean that you're going to ban me next for asking questions here? Where I thought we were supposed to be allowed to ask questions?

Accidentally escaped comma? Seeing the title of the video, the initial comment could have meant to be "fucking, really dude?". Which is basically what the second mod comment means, too. Perhaps the mod looked at their initial mod message, and the same thought came to them as it did to you.

I believe you're right about that comma, but that sort of pedantic thought is what I love about Ars.

Oh well.

EDIT 1:

I'm not bothered if the process is correct, but once that kind of thing happens, it makes it look more like personal targeting rather than a mod straightforwardly following the rules.

And if I mess up on following the rules, having it explained slightly better is helpful.

I can see various vids linked where people are cussing or etc, and then this is almost assuredly an AI based voice/song fake without any video other than a probable faked LP image, but then that might also violate the new(er) rules regardless?

EDIT 2:

okay, I guess I think I know where my questions come from. The second mod comment was supposed to be a rhetorical question and not opening debate? But then it looks like I'm being asked to explain myself in the mod edit within the thread?

Maybe it would have been clearer if the mod simply said

"link removed for NSFW content, account flagged with warning"

or something like that, rather than what is now more clear as a rhetorical question.

This seems like it's been resolved.

I did not see the actual video, just the title of it from the moderation message, but it feels pretty appropriate for it to have been moderated under the standards Ars has always had.
yep. Not worried about the outcome, so much as the process is correct.

Thanks for checking in.

Feels like it's been more than a decade and half? the last time I saw you in person, when I bought the old Pioneer? flatscreen (10-16 inches deep?) TV off of you at your house.

Wow, utterly forgot about that lol.
