From rain sensors to wireless charging: The 10 tech features car buyers want

Agree with all except clothe seats. They get dirty fast, stain and retain odors. I don't have those problems with leather or synthetics.

From rain sensors to wireless charging: The 10 tech features car buyers want

More common than you think, especially after an accident, and a slightly tweaked chassis. We had a body shop in the family in the 80s and 90s. Leaky sunroofs were an issue that were blamed on the body shop.

Google starts broadly removing explicit deepfakes from search results

Ayn Rand sycophants? Aren't they related to what was the Tea Party idiots and now the MAGAs?

Ford facelifts its Maverick pickup, adds all-wheel-drive hybrid option

Unfortunately, recent price increases of cars has made us numb to what we consider a good price. Well under $30k these days checks that box. Obviously the price tag from a few short years ago would be more welcome.

Audi’s next EV is the A6 e-tron Sportback—but no station wagon for the US

Stay on topic. We, the article author, and the posters, are discussing an Audi.

SpaceX moving Dragon splashdowns to Pacific to solve falling debris problem

No kidding. Drop any piece of the craft anywhere you want. Dump all the chemicals used in manufacturing, anywhere you want. Employees injured or dead? No problem!* * was a sarcasm tag really necessary?

Apple Intelligence features reportedly won’t be ready for iOS 18’s launch this fall

And not that it matters, but I've doing it with some really obscure material. As long as it's there, it gets played.

Apple Intelligence features reportedly won’t be ready for iOS 18’s launch this fall

I recognize, agree and respect Apple's delay in release until it's perfect.

AI and ML enter motorsports: How GM is using them to win more races

None of that is new. Not even close. They were running 'what if, then this' simulations in F1 twenty years ago.

US solar production soars by 25 percent in just one year

Nevada is only slightly behind Arizona in official legislative hostility towards solar. Geographically, both locations are no brainers. Politically, they’re compromised and bought off.

US solar production soars by 25 percent in just one year

Is that a plug for Texas? I guarantee you, they’re not doing it to make life better for the citizens/customers. They realize it’s the proper business move to make money.

US solar production soars by 25 percent in just one year

That’s exactly how you do it. One step at a time, replace old with electric at break down or wear down. One item or appliance at a time.

Finally, something real and workable to aspire to.

US solar production soars by 25 percent in just one year

I can see even more, long term positives. Less herbicide, pesticide and fertilizer runoff from that land no longer being used for a non-food production manner, and less top soil depletion. Let it rest for proper use later.

US solar production soars by 25 percent in just one year

Lucky you. My house was designed by some architect who took ‘artistic’ liberties at producing as many angled roof top segments as possible, facing in all possible directions, both ensuring the limited real estate for literally four or five solar panels and future water leaks from all locations...

Hawaii has an absurd amount of solar penetration. That's right now.

US solar production soars by 25 percent in just one year

Some partial facts in your post, mainly as to location. The large ground based PV solar farms in the Mojave desert have gone in and around the concentrated solar projects just outside the CA-NV border on Interstate 15. The transmission lines were preexisting before both projects. I drive by...

US solar production soars by 25 percent in just one year

Likely not. It only counts when it's generating. The figure you throw out is a little large, but the amount of completed renewables currently on 'stand by' is eye popping. I saw a reference to a UC Berkeley project having numbers on it.
