CadStd Lite for Windows

CADStd Lite is a popular open source, simple to use CAD/drafting software for creating professional, versatile, fast and accurate full-color digital designs, home plans, blueprints, architectural schematics, architectural drawings and measurements using ANSI design codes. This software is fully compatible with both Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. CADStd Lite allows users to import and export high resolution drawings and easily manipulate them using a drag and drop interface. It comes with many tools and features that enable one to quickly and easily create professional-looking plans and designs.

CAD STD (Computer Aided Drawing) is the industry standard format for representing drawings in a variety of formats such as PDF, DXF, WDD, Pdf, Place and others. Many computer aided design softwares have attempted to follow the cad STD format. Some of these softwares have been successful in providing the functionality of cad STD but sadly have not been able to adopt the efficient multi-touch drawing functions that come with cad STD. Some of the software has also attempted to solve the problem by introducing their own proprietary tools that are designed to convert between different CAD STD formats, but this functionality still remains to be very basic. The only tool that really adopted the cad STD format is cad and viewer, which are available free on the internet.

As a result, you can save time and effort by having the final printed file directly from your computer. It will also be much easier to edit the printed document once you have imported the original document rather than having to recreate the whole drawing in your computer just to change some small details. Another great advantage of using a cad STD to import simple drawings is that it can handle all kinds of sizes. The imported document can be scaled to any size, whether it is A4 or letter-size without any loss of detail.
